Lewis Family Gallery

The Lewis Family Gallery welcomes visitors of all ages to a hands-on exploration space where kids and adults can engage with the museum's collection in creative ways. This interactive gallery invites families to make art together, tackle building and puzzle challenges, take photos, and step inside a Romare Bearden collage playhouse. It's a great option for families looking for an engaging, playful museum experience that goes beyond looking at displays. Admission to the Lewis Family Gallery is included with your general museum ticket, so there's no extra cost. The museum maintains thorough cleaning practices to keep the space safe for all visitors. If you need accessibility accommodations or have specific access questions, you can reach out to the Volunteer Internship and ADA Coordinator at [email protected] or (704) 337-2081, and the museum also has detailed accessibility information available online.
