Lewis Family Gallery

The Lewis Family Gallery offers a wonderfully interactive experience where kids and adults alike can dive into hands-on exploration of the museum's collections. This creative space invites families to make their own art, tackle building and puzzle challenges, snap photos, and step into a playhouse inspired by artist Romare Bearden's collages. It's designed for curious minds of all ages who want to engage more actively with art and learning. Best of all, admission to the gallery is included with your general museum ticket—no extra cost. The museum maintains thorough cleaning protocols to keep everyone safe. If you need accessibility accommodations or have questions about services available, reach out to the Volunteer Internship and ADA Coordinator at [email protected] or (704) 337-2081. The Mint's website also has detailed information about accessibility options throughout the facility.
