Bring the family to the Greenway Canteen for a summer evening of live music and food. Local singer-songwriters perform on Friday and Saturday nights throughout the season, creating a relaxed outdoor atmosphere perfect for families. The Canteen serves food and drinks, so dinner is easy to arrange—or feel free to bring your own meal if you prefer. The venue has some covered and open seating available, but it's a great idea to pack lawn chairs or blankets to get comfortable while you enjoy the music. The setup here is wonderfully flexible for families. Well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome to come along. Both the Canteen seating area and the nearby Domtar Forest Porch offer spots to settle in, so you can find what works best for your group. Just remember that glass containers, tents, and outside alcohol aren't permitted. Greenway members get free entrance, while non-members pay a daily admission fee to enter the grounds.
