Morbidly Curious Book Club
Morbidly Curious Book Club at Statesville Library Meeting Room
This book club brings together adults who enjoy exploring unconventional nonfiction topics like history, science, witchcraft, cults, and yes—even death and disease. Members gather monthly to discuss carefully selected reads that dive into quirky and sometimes dark corners of human experience. This month's discussion focuses on Spiritualism's Place, which explores the history of Lily Dale, New York's famous spiritualist community founded in 1879 and its role as a gathering place for seekers and reformers.
The group meets at the Statesville Library, and you're welcome to pick up a copy of the current month's book at the front desk beforehand. A complete reading list for the year is available so you can plan ahead. This gathering is designed for adults 18 and up who want thoughtful conversation about fascinating subjects. Registration is required to attend, and spots are limited, so sign up early. For questions about the program, contact the library directly.
