Nature Story Time
Stories and nature activities inspired by books at Gifford Pinchot State Park.
Bring your little ones to enjoy a special outdoor story time led by a librarian from Red Land Library at Gifford Pinchot State Park. A storyteller will share a nature-themed book, and afterward, children will participate in a hands-on activity that connects to the book's themes. The whole program takes about an hour, making it a nice morning outing for families with young kids.
This free program happens outdoors at the Sunnyside Pavilion (pavilion #2) in the Conewago Day Use area, so dress for the weather and bring any comfort items your child might need. No registration is required—just show up and enjoy. It's a wonderful way to combine reading, nature, and outdoor play in one visit.
