Nerd Alliance

Does your kid love geeking out about their favorite shows, games, or fandoms? Nerd Alliance is a gathering at the library designed exactly for that—a welcoming space where young people can connect over shared interests without judgment. Led by Teen Librarian Hannah Drum, each month features a different activity theme, from escape room challenges and button making to game day competitions and movie trivia. It's a chance to bond with peers who actually understand those passionate fan conversations and inside jokes. The program runs from 3:30 to 5:00 PM at the Statesville Library's Youth Services Program Room and welcomes teens and tweens ages 11–17. Registration opens July 8, 2026. This is a casual, low-pressure environment where kids can explore creative projects, play games, and build genuine friendships with others who share their interests.
