Nutty By Nature: Squirrel Rescue

Your child will get an up-close look at one of nature's most familiar creatures during this afternoon program at the library. Experts from Nutty by Nature Squirrel Rescue will share fascinating facts about squirrels, and there's a good chance live animals will be part of the experience. It's a chance for kids to deepen their appreciation for the woodland friends they spot every day around the neighborhood. This program welcomes children ages 6 to 11 and is capped at 25 participants, so spots fill quickly. Registration is required, and if you're bringing multiple children, you'll need to sign up each one separately. The event also ties into the library's work on helping kids develop social and emotional skills, encouraging them to recognize feelings and build respectful connections with others and the natural world.
