Pottery Re-fit

Get ready for a hands-on archaeology adventure! The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources Archaeology Outreach program is bringing an interactive experience to the library where teens will decorate their own small ceramic pots. Here's where it gets fun—participants will intentionally break their creations, then use detective skills (and some glue and a brush) to piece them back together like an archaeological puzzle. You'll take home your reassembled pot as a reminder of the day. This program welcomes teens ages 12 through 18, with space for up to 20 participants. Registration is required and opens on July 10, so sign up online or call the library to secure your spot. It's a creative way to learn about archaeology and cultural appreciation while having a memorable experience with your peers.
