Pottery Re-fit
Hands-on archaeology program led by SC DNR experts at York County Library.
Your teen will step into the world of archaeology during this hands-on workshop led by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources Archaeology Outreach team. Participants will decorate their own small ceramic pot, then intentionally break it as part of the learning experience. Using glue, a brush, and problem-solving skills, they'll piece the pot back together like real archaeologists do in the lab—and take their reassembled creation home.
This program is designed for teens ages 12–18 and offers a fun way to explore how archaeologists work and understand different cultures. Registration is required and opens two weeks before the event, with limited spots available. It's a great choice for kids interested in history, hands-on activities, or outdoor adventure.
