Remembered Story Trail Through the Wetlands

Take a self-guided journey through Nixon Park's natural landscape on this creative activity that combines storytelling with outdoor exploration. Families follow story pages that lead from the parking area, across a wetland bridge, and into the forest. As you walk the trail, you'll read each page of the story unfolds around you, making the experience interactive and engaging for curious minds. This activity is completely free and available daily during regular park hours, making it easy to fit into your family's schedule. Groups of 10 or more do need to register in advance by calling (717) 428-1961 x1 or emailing NixonCountyPark@YorkCountyPA.gov—just have your group size, the ages of your children, and a contact number ready when you reach out. It's a wonderful way to spend time outdoors together while discovering a story nestled within nature.
