Remembered Story Trail Through the Wetlands

Self-guided story trail through Nixon Park's wetlands—nature walk meets storytelling.

Your family can explore Nixon Park on a self-guided adventure that combines nature and storytelling. Simply start at the parking lot and follow story pages as you walk across the wetland bridge and into the forest, reading along the way. This activity works at your own pace and is available daily during regular park hours, making it easy to fit into your schedule whenever it's convenient. The trail is completely free for families to enjoy. If you're planning to bring a group of 10 or more people, you'll need to register ahead of time by calling (717) 428-1961 x1 or emailing NixonCountyPark@YorkCountyPA.gov. When you register, be ready to share your group size, the ages of your children, your name, and a contact phone number. This is a great option for kids who enjoy nature walks and interactive storytelling experiences.
