Remembered Story Trail Through the Wetlands

Remembered Story Trail Through the Wetlands

Self-guided story trail through Nixon Park's wetlands, open daily during park hours.

Take your family on a self-guided adventure through Nixon Park's natural wetlands area. Starting from the parking lot, you'll follow story pages that lead you across the wetland bridge and into the surrounding forest. As you walk, read each page of the story to discover what unfolds—it's a fun way to explore nature while enjoying a narrative experience together. The trail is accessible during normal park hours daily. This activity is completely free for all ages, making it an easy outing to fit into your schedule. If you're planning to bring a group of 10 or more people, you'll need to register ahead of time. Just call (717) 428-1961 x1 or email NixonCountyPark@YorkCountyPA.gov with your group size, the children's ages, your name, and a phone number. It's a great option for families who enjoy gentle outdoor walks and a bit of storytelling mixed in.
