Stories from the Streets

Join a welcoming writing workshop led by Matt Shaw of Speak Up Magazine, a publication created by people with lived experience of homelessness. Whether you're a seasoned writer or picking up a pen for the first time, this session welcomes all skill levels. Mr. Shaw will guide the group through prompts and discussion to spark your creativity and get words flowing onto the page. Everything you need is provided—notebooks and pens are included. The workshop runs in a judgment-free environment where conversation flows naturally and authentically. No sign-up is necessary, though space is limited to 25 participants. This program is designed for adults and supports creative expression as a pathway to literacy and artistic growth.
