Summer VolunTeen Opportunity
Summer volunteer opportunity for teens (12–18) to support library programs and earn service hours.
Looking for a meaningful way for your teen to spend part of their summer? The Teen department is seeking volunteers ages 12–18 to lend a hand with their programming. Teens who participate will earn one hour of volunteer service credit while contributing to real library activities. The work itself is hands-on and varied—you might help set up or take down programs, assist with craft projects, or organize materials.
Registration opens two weeks before the volunteer date and spots are limited, so interested teens should sign up soon either online or by calling the library. This volunteer opportunity is designed to support social and emotional growth, helping young people develop skills like recognizing emotions, responding thoughtfully to others, and building respectful relationships. For questions, you can reach out to the Teen department directly.
