Teen Chess Club at Matthews Library (ages 12-18)

Your teen can drop in for a casual game of chess with other players in their age group at this weekly club. This is a no-instruction, play-focused gathering—so participants should already know how to play. It's a great way for young chess enthusiasts to practice their skills, enjoy some friendly competition, and spend time with peers who share their interest. The program welcomes teens ages 12 through 18 and is completely free to attend. Registration is requested to help the library plan accordingly, and you can sign up through their events page. This is a relaxed, informal setting where kids can simply show up and enjoy a game or two without pressure or formal lessons.
