Teen Chess Club

**Teen Chess Club** Your teen is invited to join a relaxed chess club meeting at the library's Young Adult Area. Whether your teen is already a chess enthusiast or has never played before, they're welcome to come learn and play. The group gathers on the second Tuesday of each month for ninety minutes, creating a low-pressure space where players of all skill levels can enjoy the game together. This program is designed for ages 12 through 18, and there's no need to register ahead of time—just show up. Beyond the fun of chess itself, the club supports social and emotional growth by helping teens practice recognizing and responding to emotions in themselves and others while building respectful friendships with fellow players.
