Treasury Talk: NorthmAmerica’s Deer
Expert-led talk on North American deer species—moose, elk, caribou, and more—at Nixon Park.
Join park volunteer Jeff Altland for an engaging presentation about the native deer species that call North America home. You'll learn about moose, elk, caribou, mule deer, and white-tailed deer—over 40 million of these remarkable animals roam the continent. This is a wonderful opportunity for families curious about wildlife and local ecosystems.
The program is completely free to attend. If you're planning to bring a group of 10 or more people, advance registration is required—just call (717) 428-1961 x1 or email NixonCountyPark@YorkCountyPA.gov to let them know you're coming. It's a great way to spend time outdoors while learning something new about the animals in our region.
